At the Sept. 19 Homecoming game, the football team made a strong effort against the Howell North Knights; however, The Spartans ultimately went on to lose despite coming within one score of the Knights late in the game.

The Knights led off the first quarter 14-0. FHC scored one touchdown from junior Jordan Cooper in the second along with one from the Knights, leaving the score at halftime at 21-7 Knights. In the third quarter, senior quarterback Frank Davis ran in a touchdown and threw one to senior Zach McKinley, to bring the score at the end of the third quarter to 28-21. The fourth quarter started strong with a kickoff return ran- in for a touchdown from freshman Ashad Blue Williams; however, it was not enough to keep the Knights from scoring three more touchdowns, ending the game 51-34 Knights.

“It was sad because most the guys have been playing together since seventh grade, and knowing thats it’s our last Homecoming and knowing we didn’t play as well as we should of. It was bad because we can’t take it back and can’t redo that night and fix it,” Davis said.
