Howell hands interim coach first loss

Oct. 3 was the last home game for many seniors on the football team. The team was led by interim Head Coach Don Lober, who had formerly coached all of the players on the team as a coach at the junior varsity and freshman levels.

The Howell Vikings continually scored against the team until the fourth quarter with a touchdown from Frank Davis with 16 seconds left on the clock.

“It felt good to be back under a man that had led our now varsity team, to many victories both last year and the year before. Although under his wing, we’ll have to do a lot to improve off this season. But having a former coach who knows us, who’s good and who’s bad at what, definitely helped,” said senior Dyllan Lindsey.
