Memories that have been made over the senior Sensations four years of high school will never fade. They have been through numerous competitions, countless rehearsals and performances, and they have made friends that will remain with them through the years.

Although it is their last year as Sensations, over their high school careers the seniors have done extraordinary things, and the team members will never forget all that has happened.

Jessie Hunkins has been a Sensation for three years and she believes that this years team is better than ever.

“We have a very talented group of girls this year, but everyone who moved up this year are definitely working their butts off and proving themselves,” Hunkins said.

Being Sensations has allowed the dancers to not only showcase their talents, but to create friendships that are strong and that help to pull the team together. With the bond between each other being so strong, they are able to work well together and prove themselves at competitions and performances.

Madi Smith is another senior on the varsity team, and she fully believes that the team is close.

“I love all the girls on the team, it’s hands down the best group of girls I’ve danced with in my four years of high school. We are all there for each other no matter what,” Smith said.

There are several jobs on the team such as the captain and officers. With these jobs, the team members are able to work closer with each other to become the best team they can be.

Bre Gajewski is the senior captain of the varsity team, and as a captain, she is faced with many more responsibilities to the team that help them to achieve more and become the best team they can be.

“I love it. It is a lot of responsibility and it can be challenging but it’s rewarding at the end of the day knowing that I helped make the team what it is,” Gajewski said.

Just like captain, the job of the officer is very fulfilling too. Hunkins is the officer of the varsity team, and she loves the position she holds.

“I love that the girls can come to me with anything and I usually have an answer for them. I like being able to help out the coaches and Bre and really make this team the best it can be,” Hunkins said.

As the seniors graduate next year, they will miss all the memories and friends that they have made. But even though they are leaving, they have no doubts that next years team will be just as good.

“I think they will be able to do well. We have so much potential with all the new dancers on the team so I think they will definitely hold their own next year,” Hunkins said.
