Varsity wrestling went up against Troy Buchanan High School on January 14th on our own turf, and the Spartans dominated the Trojans with a 58-17 point victory.

So soon after the start of a new season, the team is already putting its all into their matches. “We had our growing pains this year, but they’ve matured and worked hard all year.” said Coach Steve Cross.

Senior Caleb Gosset, the team’s heavyweight wrestler, got blood time after a match due to an injury to the forehead. During this time, he said its nothing out of the ordinary.
