Girls soccer loses to Howell

Howell Central’s varsity girls soccer team traveled to face Howell on their home turf in a highly anticipated match on Thursday, Mar. 30. The Spartans lost the game 5-0.

The two evenly matched teams were head to head, with a score of 0-0 at half. Second half began, and ten minutes into the half one of Central’s players fouled out. With Central playing one player down, Howell rapidly began scoring goals.

“The game was evenly matched, with neither team having the majority of possession up until the third quarter of the game. In the last twenty minutes our team broke down as a whole. After the outcome of that game, we will definitely play harder when we see them in the next game,” junior Bailey Beeler said.

The team will face Howell again on Apr. 18 at 6:30 pm at home.
