Girls soccer fundraises for autism awarness

After the total was counted up, the soccer players, coaches, managers, and staff raised more than $2,000

To turn the girl’s soccer senior night into more than just a dedication for the seniors, all of the players and coaching staff came together to raise awareness for Autism. Christina Young, the freshman coach, took on this project, as she is a special education teacher and came up with the idea for the fundraiser.

“Together, the soccer program sold like over 300 bracelets.”, said freshman Lexi Jansen, “It was so fun to able to help out and support the cause.”

The fundraiser was very successful, raising more than $2,000, the coaches were able to present the money to the Autism Speaks representative here in St. Louis.
