The season has come to a complete close for Scholar Quiz Bowl. After taking fourth place in their GAC competition over spring break, the team has hung up its buzzers until next season.

Although districts are quickly approaching, the team will be unable to attend and participate due to numerous scheduling conflicts amongst the team. The bulk of the conflicts come from other school and extracurricular activities, explained coach Sharon King.

“Districts are Saturday April 14th. The main conflict was that a lot of our team members are not only planning to take the ACT that morning, but many — myself included — are also involved in the spring musical that night. This has been a year plagued by conflicts, but a good year of quiz bowl nonetheless,” said King.

In two weeks, the varsity and junior varsity teams are getting together one last time to celebrate the year’s accomplishments along with coach, Ms. King, as a sendoff to the fourth year of scholar quiz bowl.
