Team looks for fourth consecutive win

Strong chemistry within the varsity girls soccer team leads to an increase in the teams winning streak.

The varsity girls soccer team has improved its record to 8-5 on the season following a win at home against Troy-Buchanan Tuesday night by a score of 3-1. According to junior goalie Adrianna Corcione, the win shows how much the team's chemistry has increased.

"We weren't working well together earlier in the season, but our [chemistry] has improved greatly," said Corcione.

The results of this increased chemistry were evident during the game.

"We moved off the ball well during the game," said Corcione. "And that led to nice goals against the other team."

The team hopes to increase its season high winning streak to four games and will have the opportunity to do that Friday night as they travel to rival Francis Howell High to take on the Vikings at 6:30 p.m.
