Three choir members get superior ratings and make it to state

On Saturday March 10, at Fort Zumwalt East High School, 13 members of choir participated in the All-District and Ensemble Festival. Out of those 13 students, three qualified to sing solos at All-State Festival. Seniors Claire Henderson, Mikelle McClintock and Melissa Mossinghoff received the superior rating that was needed to qualify.

“We are very proud of them,” said Director Elisabeth Baird. “ We wish them luck as they take their singing to the next level.”

All-State Festival will take place on April 28 at Mizzou. Judges will rate the singers, in order to help them take their singing one step further.

Mossinghoff, who has received the superior rating three times already, cannot wait to go.

“I am so excited,” said Mossinghoff. “This is my third time, and my last state festival. It’s going to be a fun festival.”
