Adventures of Huckleberry and Finley

The Centene Grizzly Ridge opened last week at the St. Louis Zoo.

Finley says hello to visitors. The cubs and the visitors were equally curious about each other.

Last Friday, the new grizzly bears exhibit opened at the St. Louis Zoo. Huckleberry, or Huck, and Finley are 2 and 1/2 year old orphaned siblings from Montana. After their mom had to be euthanized for being a risk to the public, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service determined the cubs were still too young to live on their own in the wild. The cubs stayed at ZooMontana until their permanent home, the Centene Grizzly Ridge, was completed here in St. Louis.
