Off to a quick start, the boys soccer District final against Fort Zumwalt West, went exactly as the team had hoped. One minute into the game Kurtis Rolfson puts in a very quick goal, putting the Spartans on the board faster than anyone had expected. In the 28th minute, senior, Caleb Mundle, soon puts the Spartans up 2-0. Then, one minute later, Cameron Blaylock punches in another goal to make it 3-0. In the last 5 minutes of the first half, a foul in the box results in a penalty kick against the Spartans, making the score 3-1. In the second half, Blaylock gets a breakaway from the defense, making the final score 4-1.

“It’s a great honor to be part of a team like this who may not have gone undefeated in regular season, but when it matters, are able to set up and get the job done,” sophomore, Sam Newton, reflected on the night.

On October 31st, the boys play their sectional game at Pattonville, hoping to continue to move on and make it to state.
