An even game

Knowing it would be a close match, the Spartan hockey team was very even with the Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs. The game was very back and forth, with Central going up, then South tying it up, then South taking the lead. Zumwalt South was ahead in shots, with 30 shots on goal at the end of the third period, and Howell Central with 15 shots on goal. In the end, the Bulldogs came out on top 6-5, scoring their sixth goal in the last 30 seconds of the game.

“We knew it would be a really close game,” midfielder, Tyler Bradley said, “but of course, we were expecting a win.”

The loss makes their season 6-7-1, with their season inching up on a close. The Spartans are hoping to end their final weeks of the season with wins.
